Kink Awareness: Kink-FriendlyWhat does this mean?

Specialties: Trauma, EMDR, Couples and Family Therapy, Sex Therapy (including kink-friendly), LGTBQ Issues I am a psychotherapist who specializes in providing individual, relational, and sex therapy. I work with my clients to create safe, affirming space that allows them to explore the most challenging parts of their lives’ journeys, while celebrating and building upon their strengths. My approach to therapy is integrative and based on the specific needs and goals of the people I am working with, though my treatment methodology is grounded in theories from psychodynamic, mindfulness based, and emotionally focused theories of therapeutic support. I graduated with my master’s degree in social work from Widener University in May 2013, and my second master’s degree in human sexuality education, with a clinical focus in August 2013. Post graduation, I sought additional training to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist in order to better support clients with issues related to traumatic life experiences. As a therapist, I help individuals and couples who are struggling with a wide variety of emotional, relational, and sexual issues. My areas of specialty include working with clients recovering from traumatic experiences in their lives, and working with men on anger management/emotional intelligence. I also provide support for individuals and couples coping with a wide variety of sexual dysfunctions, and people seeking to overcome the barriers that keep them from reaching their erotic potential and fully enjoying the role of sexual health, wellness and pleasure in their relationships and lives.
