DESCRIPTION:HYBRID MONDAY NIGHT PROGRAM-OPEN TO THE 18+ COMMUNITY \nThe world is changing fast\, and our community is growing exponentially. Sometimes keeping up can be really hard. Our vocabulary and our need for diversity have all changed rapidly. Consent looks very different these days than it did 20\, 10\, and even 5 years ago. While these changes are for the good of everyone\, sometimes it is difficult to change with the times\, and be as supportive\, nurturing\, and sensitive to everyone else’s needs as we need to be. \nEveryone’s way is the right way at APEX\, but these new challenges bring new mistakes (or misunderstanding\, or less success?)\, and lack of understanding brings insensitivity. Just when you thought you could safely and respectfully speak to everyone\, the goal post moves. \nTonight we will talk about some survival tools for those of us not blessed with the millennial ability to know the right thing. Specifically we will address: \nWhy things keep changing\, and why it can be so hard\nHow we adapt to important changes in the greater world\, and how it’s easier to adapt to change in this world than it may seem\nHow to keep up with what “respectful” means today\nHow to adapt to our new world and embrace those around you\nHow to support diversity in new ways\nHow to stay aware and “keep sharp” in our continuously changing environment\nHow you still get to be you\, while allowing everyone else to be them
