CBC News

A Mountie who put bondage photos of himself on the internet is now suing a Vancouver lawyer and the tipster who alerted the RCMP that pictures had been posted online.

Cpl. Jim Brown, of the Coquitlam, B.C., detachment, claims he is the victim of defamation after the sexual photos he posted were made more widely public in July.

Violent photos of another man were falsely identified as Brown.

Brown claims in a notice of civil claim registered by the Supreme Court of B.C. that Grant Wakefield, of New Westminster, B.C., breached his privacy and made false statements about Brown.

Cameron Ward, the lawyer for some victims’ families in the Missing Women's Inquiry held in Vancouver earlier this year, is also being sued for allegedly defaming Brown.

Ward and Wakefield have 35 days to respond to the claims made in the lawsuit.
