Lexi Chatara-Middleton is a registered, unlicensed psychotherapist specializing in somatic or ‘body-centered’ psychotherapy with a focus on Dance/Movement therapy.   She works by guiding clients to a more full awareness of their bodies through the identifying and tracking of sensations, allowing movements to sequence through the body fully, and using the body as a container to help the process of emotional release.  Lexi works with an understanding that tapping into one’s innate creativity can be a route to healing and expression. Lexi uses various body-centered techniques in addition to traditional dialogue depending on the needs of the client. Sessions may utilize elements from modalities including dance/movement therapy, gestalt, motivational interviewing, somatic experiencing, developmental movement, and focusing.
