Chateau Vino, the city’s only legal swingers club, has 400 members and is growing by eight couples a week, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.
The club owner, who asked to be known as Michael, said the bestseller – which has been dubbed “mummy porn” – was introducing a different demographic to the adult world.
“The books will definitely boost the industry across the board,” he said.
“We have about eight new couples a week coming in. When new clients come we show them around and a lot of women are mentioning the book.”
He said the club was not what most people would expect and attracted clients from all walks of life.
“Many people have their own assumptions on what a swingers club is but it is very discreet and classy,” he said.
“It is almost like a boutique nightclub and we never reveal identities.”
He added, “People would be shocked if they knew who frequented the club. There are men and women from all walks of life. It is a personal and private pastime.” …
