NCSF helps our members and the alternative sexuality communities through our programs: Kink Aware Professionals, Consent Counts, Education Outreach Program, Incident Reporting & Response, Media Outreach, DSM Revision Project, Metamour Day and I am NCSF.
Kink Aware Professionals
Kink and Poly Aware Professionals is a free database of professionals who offer “Sex-Positive Support for Kink and Non-monogamy.” This includes mental health, legal, medical and other professionals who are knowledgeable about alternative sexuality.
Consent Counts
Consent Counts aims to decriminalize sexual conduct between consenting adults. As part of this we spread understanding of the need for, and nature of, consent. Our Consent Counts program is designed to assist our communities in promoting a culture of consent through education and providing resources on how to deal with nonconsensual incidents.
Education Outreach Program
The Education Outreach Program is designed to help educate people about important issues relevant to those who practice consensual BDSM, polyamory and the Lifestyle.

Freedom & Privacy Project
The Freedom & Privacy Project is actively dealing with discrimination against our clubs and groups such as Sexually Oriented Business tax, Live Sex Act Business Code, Adverse Secondary Effects and Obscenity law.
Incident Reporting & Response
Incident Reporting & Response provides assistance to individuals, groups and businesses within the kink, polyamory and Lifestyle communities who are experiencing discrimination or need help dealing with consent incidents.
Media Outreach
Media Outreach educates media and helps our communities respond to media stories about BDSM and nonmonogamy. Media Outreach also teaches and trains groups and individuals on how to respond and deal with media effectively.
DSM Revision Project
The DSM Revision Project has successfully de-pathologized BDSM in the APA Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). NCSF continues to monitor changes to the APA’s DSM that may impact on people who engage in kink and nonmonogamy.
Consent Month
Help celebrate Consent Month in September! Consent Month embraces the freedom of expression achieved when informed consent is present. Join us in holding your own event or posting consent infographics during the month of September that highlight the importance of consent.
Metamour Day
February 28 is Metamour Day honoring the relationships between you and your metamours. It is not about forced compersion. It’s about communal appreciation within our family structures and modeling positivity to the world around us. Metamour Day is a recognition of the unique and special relationships between metamours.
