
NCSF’s Incident Reporting & Response received 50 reports & requests for assistance from individuals, groups and businesses in April, May and June, compared to 64 in the 1st Quarter of 2026.
NCSF maintains the confidentiality of those who come to us for help, however we balance that need with the need to report the services we are providing and to provide the community with a record of where the need is the greatest.
Here is a breakdown of the reports we dealt with in the 2nd Quarter 2026:
Groups
Resources were requested by 23 organizations and people who are dealing with groups, compared to 34 requests in the 1st quarter of 2026:
- 8 groups asked about attendees/presenters/organizers or reported they had banned someone
- 6 groups asked for a consultation on their consent policies & procedures
- 3 groups asked for a consultation on their organizational policy & procedures
- 3 people reported being banned by a group
- 2 groups needed insurance
- A club was shut down by county authorities
Criminal
There were 15 requests for resources and information involving criminal legal matters, compared to 16 in the 1st Quarter of 2026:
- 11 reports came from people who were choked, assaulted, sexually assaulted, exposed to STIs, domestic assault, secretly recorded, and harassed (2 of the people who were accused were organizers)
- 1 person reported public information on arrest for sexual battery of a minor
- 1 person received an Order of Protection
- 1 person reported an Order of Protection against them
- 1 prosecutor needed a consultation on a “rough sex” case
Outing
There were 5 reports compared to 2 in the 1st Quarter of 2026:
- 2 people reported they were outed by organizers
- 1 person reported doxing and threatened outing
- 1 person was outed as kinky and lost their job
- 1 organizer reported they were accused of outing
Child Custody/Divorce
There were 3 requests for resources and referrals, compared to 2 in the 1st Quarter of 2026:
- 3 parents reported child custody due to kink
Professionals
There were 2 requests regarding professionals compared to 4 in the 1st Quarter of 2026:
- 1 professional needed a consultation about PR issues
- 1 online platform requested a consultation on kink and nonmonogamy cultural competency
Civil
There were 2 reports compared to 6 in the 1st Quarter of 2026:
- 1 person reported being exposed as nonmonogamous during a lawsuit
- 1 person reported that a professional didn’t deliver services that were paid for
