Incident Reporting & Response – 1st Quarter 2026 Report

NCSF’s Incident Reporting & Response received 64 reports & requests for assistance from individuals, groups and businesses in January, February and March 2026, compared to 67 in the 1st Quarter of 2025.

NCSF maintains the confidentiality of those who come to us for help, however we balance that need with the need to report the services we are providing and to provide the community with a record of where the need is the greatest.

Here is a breakdown of the reports we dealt with in the 1st Quarter 2026:

Groups

Resources were requested by 34 organizations and people who are dealing with groups, compared to 16 requests in the 4th quarter of 2025:

  • 11 groups asked for a consultation on their consent policies & procedures
  • 10 groups asked about attendees/presenters/organizers or reported they had banned someone
  • 2 groups needed assistance with policy on dealing with medical emergencies
  • 2 groups reported that local authorities shut down their event or club
  • 2 groups needed assistance with DEI resources
  • 2 people had issues with groups
  • 1 person needed help with a group due to a medical emergency
  • 1 group needed an attorney referral to form an organization
  • 1 group needed insurance
  • 1 group needed policy around presenter management
  • 1 person reported being banned by a group

Criminal

There were 16 requests for resources and information involving criminal legal matters, compared to 15 in the 4th Quarter of 2025:

  • 11 reports came from people who were choked, assaulted, sexually assaulted, injured, stalked, threatened, impersonated, extorted, violation of no contact
  • 2 people received an Order of Protection
  • 2 people reported public information for convictions of strangulation, simple assault and/or child pornography
  • 1 prosecutor needed a consultation on a BDSM case

Civil

There were 6 reports compared to 3 in the 4th Quarter of 2025:

  • 1 person needed an attorney for a property dispute
  • 1 person reported a dispute with a website over DEIB concerns
  • 1 person was fired due to cross-dressing posts on social media (a teacher)
  • 1 person was shadow banned by a kink-friendly social media website
  • 1 person reported an interpersonal dispute with an organizer
  • 1 group needed an attorney to fight defamation

Professionals

There were 4 requests regarding professionals compared to 3 in the 4th Quarter of 2025:

  • 2 people needed a referral to a mental health professional
  • 1 person needed a referral to a mediator
  • 1 victim advocacy agency requested informationon consent for kink

Outing

There were 2 reports compared to 3 in the 4th Quarter of 2025:

  • 1 person reported being doxed by an organizer
  • 1 person reported being threatened with outing and doxing

Child Custody/Divorce

There were 2 requests for resources and referrals, compared to 2 in the 4th Quarter of 2025:

  • 1 parent reported child custody and divorce issues to kink
  • 1 parent reported divorce issues involving kink
