A Manhattan high school teacher hungering for a raunchy torture session with a "teenage girl" he met on the Internet was caught in a sting operation Monday night, Westchester District Attorney Jeanine Pirro said yesterday.

Social studies teacher Joseph Bovino, 54, approached an undercover agent who posed as a teenage girl on the Internet and outlined his kinky fantasies of being sexually tortured and abused by her, Pirro said.

When Bovino arrived at a meeting with the "girl," Pirro said, he was equipped to carry out his desires "with a paddle, a rope, gloves, K-Y Jelly, clothespins and belts" stowed in an innocuous-looking backpack he carried.

"This is even more a wakeup call than the others because of the shocking nature of the kind of sex he wanted to engage in with this underage minor," Pirro said.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — A New York City schoolteacher was arrested as he arrived for a sadomasochistic tryst he'd arranged with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl, prosecutors said Tuesday.

The "girl" was actually an undercover investigator, and the teacher, 54-year-old Joseph Bovino, became the 82nd arrest in an Internet pedophile sting program, Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro said.

Bovino was charged with trying to send indecent material to a minor material Pirro described as explicit online messages about how he liked to be tortured.
