A swingers club owner has revealed what Ireland’s kinky couples get up to at their events.
Sex parties have been popular among adventurous lovers since the 1960s and conjure up images of partners mingling for a while before rifling through a bowl full of car keys.
But now Tom Hogan, not his real name, has lifted the lid to his business Irishswingersclub.com, which he has run for the past seven years.
He said there is a major interest among young couples who want to swap partners in the bedroom.
And told how he runs sex parties around the country nearly every Saturday night.
Mr Hogan said: “There’s huge demand. The people who are attending are great to be with, they know how to enjoy themselves, they’re very liberated.
“We operate around Dublin city centre. We have huge demand from all the major populated counties – Cork, Limerick, Galway – not too much in the Midlands but certainly along the coastal areas.”
The entrepreneur added he had to stop hosting the parties at hotels as other residents would complain about the noise.
Mr Hogan said: “For discretionary purposes we rent apartments and I keep it to a maximum of 24 people.”
Describing a normal night at one of his kinky events, he explained: “First of all we have to get the ambience right in terms of lighting, music and drinks, and the average age group is mid-30s.
“We get a lot of Brazilian people in the younger age bracket but it goes up to any age group. It’s just like a regular party really in a house.
“But in our house the people occupy the play areas which are the bedrooms.” …
