Jerry Springer wishes he could get into the Arizona Fetish Prom.
After all, there's going to be enough subculture action going on that he'd have material for his show for the next 10 years. But unless Springer springs for a leather g-string, he'd look really out of place.
"We're going to see rubber, latex, leather, boots, the whole gothic lifestyle, the vampire lifestyle," says Mitch Palmer, a member of TNG, the fetish organization that's co-sponsoring the event with Horns & Haloes. "We'll be doing candle wax demos, bullwhipping demos, spanking and strapping demos . . ."
Audience members can get in on some of the action, but their participation is limited. Some people just can't take the pain. "The audience will have the ability to participate in the spanking demo and the strip pole dancing. They won't be able to do much more because of liability," says Palmer. "People think, 'Oh, I'm going to be in a bullwhipping demo, but it's not going to hurt.' Then they come out all red and bleeding, and we get sued."
Maybe it'd be better just to watch. And there's plenty to watch. In addition to the fetish demos, there will also be "girl-on-girl biting and sucking," body painting and liquid latex, an erotic and exotic fashion show, strip pole performances by the Pin-Up Girl Lounge, tons of fetish vendors, fire dancing by Flames of Pyrotique, and the Pussy Posse.

CHESTERTON – Police said Gary L. Nimtz has a sexual fetish which involves a desire to be spanked.
But they said Nimtz broke the law when he got an underage girl to spank him.
Nimtz, 41, of 518 S. Calumet Road, Chesterton, was arrested Friday on two counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. He faces up to 32 years in prison if convicted of the crimes.
The girl told police she would spank Nimtz 20 to 30 times, for sexual gratification. She told police the spanking, which occurred on several occasions, would sometimes involved paddles or belts.
Chesterton Detective Lt. David Cincoski, who investigated the case, said Nimtz admitted he has a spanking fetish for which he needs help. The detective said Nimtz turned to a juvenile because his wife wasn't into spanking.

The evidence included 56 videotapes and 181 photographs, all capturing a local jeweler's sexual activities with women, who appear at times strapped to a gurney, bound and gagged or wrapped in cellophane and gasping for breath.
And yet, in a legal outcome that revolts police officers who developed the case, Jorgen Petersen, a 68-year-old Dane originally charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery, extortion and video voyeurism, was allowed to plead guilty to crimes against nature, the catchall legal category most commonly used for violations of Louisiana's law prohibiting oral sex.
With the plea, Petersen got probation and a $30,000 fine. In addition, he faces possible deportation to Denmark. An immigration judge on Friday postponed a decision on that matter until June, and Petersen is in custody pending the outcome of that proceeding, in all likelihood the only jail time he will serve.
The case merely exposes a sex life that runs to leather and restraints with consensual partners, as Petersen's attorney puts it. Police came to a harsher opinion after developing evidence that convinced them Petersen preyed on prostitutes with legal or personal problems that made it hard for them to escape a man with an irrepressible appetite for torture.
Consent or coercion? Exactly where the line of consent falls, prosecutors said, can be difficult to pinpoint, let alone prove in court. And exploitation of adults, however distasteful, is not always a criminal matter.
"It was an S&M case," District Attorney Eddie Jordan said. "S&M is weird. The fact that anyone would want to do that" is difficult to grasp.

Judge Orders Sex Club To Shut Down
Mayor Touts Decision as Major Victory for City

INDIANAPOLIS — A Marion County judge has ordered a west-side Indianapolis sex club to shut down.
Under the ruling, the Reel One sex club must cease operations by July 6. The city had sought the club's closure since 2003, arguing that it is in violation of several ordinances, including one that prohibits operation of an adult entertainment business within 500 feet of a residential area.
The city's case against Reel One began after two undercover Indianapolis officers, married to each other, reported entering the club posing as swingers and witnessing sexual activity.
Lawyers for the club's owners did not dispute that sexual activity occurred at the club, but contended that what happened between consenting adults was not a matter of public concern.
The club's attorneys also said that because it opened in 1992, it pre-dated the city's efforts to curb such businesses.
