HOLMES BEACH — The home next door to Will Bouziane is usually rented as a vacation spot for families.
But some of its most recent occupants hosted a weeklong sex and porno party — an event that's become the talk of this laid-back island community of 5,200 people.
Bouziane first noticed something was up when two women called out over a fence and asked him if he minded if they sunbathed naked; he was fine with it.
While talking to the women, he noticed a beach towel with a Web address printed on it.
Bouziane looked up the site online. He discovered a swingers' network promoting biracial sex.
In the next few days, Bouziane said he and his roommates spotted people filming sex scenes on a boat, on a dock and in a pool grotto.
All the action took place at a six-bedroom home across the street from the Manatee County Island Branch Library and within walking distance of both police headquarters and City Hall.
"This is the first time I've heard of anything like this happening," said Holmes Beach Mayor Carol Whitmore, who has lived here all her life.
The party was attended by more than 200 people, including film crews from a handful of pornographic Web sites, said Art Hammer, the president of Jem Diamond Entertainment LLC. Hammer said his Sarasota-based company hosted the event.
Hammer said such events are "fairly common" in Southwest Florida, particularly in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area.
After hearing about the party in her town, Whitmore asked the city's attorney whether the revelers were breaking any laws. The attorney said they weren't.
The local police department didn't receive a single complaint.
"There's nothing we can do," said Holmes Beach Police Lt. Dale Stephenson.

Police in Britain have rescued a "trapped" Canadian woman from a sex-slavery sect in northeast England.
Durham Police raided a house in Darlington after receiving reports a 29-year-old Canadian "slave" could not leave because she had burned her passport and airline ticket.
The woman met the group's leader, Lee Thompson, through the Internet and quickly moved to Darlington, 400 kilometres north of London. Members of the subculture call themselves Kaotians and follow the Chronicles of Gor, 26 science fiction novels from the 1960s filled with explicit sex scenes involving slavery, sadism and bondage.
Soon after arriving in Darlington, the Canadian realized the sex-slave life was not for her. She e-mailed a friend in Texas five weeks ago saying she was "trapped" in the home, according to the Northern Echo newspaper. The friend contacted British police.
No charges have been laid. Officers investigated the sect and discovered its members were all consenting adults, said Joanna Bamford, a spokeswoman for the Durham Police.
"It's no longer a police matter," Ms. Bamford said yesterday. The Canadian woman was living with the group of her own free will, Ms. Bamford explained. "She had burned her passport, intending to stay, and then had a change of heart."
The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to a women's shelter and has returned to Canada. A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs said the Canadian High Commission in London provided consular assistance.
Mr. Thompson, 31, told British newspapers he was sad the woman left.
"Some women have a desire to serve," he told the Northern Echo. "Most people think it is a very sexual thing, but it is about every action that they make, they do it for their master," he went on.
"Saying that, the girls will do everything they are told when it comes to sex, but it is all voluntary and all safe …. The girls are quite willing."

Mexican actress Eva Normand, who ran a famous New York S&M dungeon under the name Ava Taurel, has died in a swimming accident near Puerto Escondito, Mexico.
The Norwegian-born former Playboy bunny and Follies Bergere dancer drowned when she was pulled under by powerful currents while swimming near a nude beach Sunday, The New York Post said Thursday.
Taurel was best known in New York for her kinky club that the Post said "serviced a virtual Who's Who of movie stars, politicians and Wall Street bigs."

There's this hot scene in psychodrama Secretary where dictatorial boss James Spader tells his mentally ill secretary (Maggie Gyllenhaal) to put her elbows on his desk and bend over. He then proceeds to spank her savagely. When she later examines the damage in the restroom mirror, she can't help but smile at the blistery purple-red swell. I've always wondered what it'd be like to get spanked this way. Primal and raw, yet wholly civilized in its measured delivery.
In my limited experience, spanking usually comes in the form of hesitant pats by a boyfriend who is terrified of being seen as abusive, or in uncoordinated, alcohol-scrambled whops from a one-night-stand. The former is exasperating – just hit me already! – and the latter stings like hell.
So when I read that David Pierson, founder of the Punished Brats Productions' over-the-knee empire (www.punishedbrats.com) and Consumer's Spanking Video News & Reviews (www.spreview.net), lived in Doylestown, I had to know: Why is it so hard for regular Joes to get spanking right?
Pierson immediately mailed me nine DVDs, including Spacegirls!, a futuristic girl-spanks-girl tale starring PB webmaster Pixie Wells, and Spanking in the Modern Age, an odyssey through three decades of iron-fist punishment. Pierson writes the scripts and does most of the spanking himself, which means he spends a lot of time playing the grumpy guardian or crusty old headmaster, reprimanding nubile young women for skipping class, breaking curfew and borrowing the car without permission. He uses all manner of implements to get that red-bottomed glow, including oak paddles, rattan canes, rulers, razor strops, leather belts, wooden spoons and, of course, his bare hands.
"I like the delay of the cane," says Wells. "You feel the impact, then the burn and sting catch you a second later. But just as the pain registers, the next strip comes down. Your butt builds up a tolerance." She's even come to appreciate the zebra-striped look of a freshly caned bottom.
But after tearing through nine hours' worth of spanking scenes, I still have one major question: Where's the sex?
"There's no sex," laughs Pierson. "We're strictly spanking."
As it turns out, there are two main types of spanking: sexual or romantic, and disciplinary. The latter has a classier reputation, all Dorothy Gale in frilly panties getting whapped on the butt by Father Christmas, and that's where Pierson plays his cards. By following a true corporal punishment model (sans porno sleaze), he's been able to make a name for Spankadelphia in an otherwise Cali-based industry.
"Philadelphians are used to this stuff," Pierson half-kids, noting that the city's strong Catholic contingent is accustomed to seeing schoolgirls get their tails tattled.

Jurors hear of sex "master"

The 29-year-old woman, wringing a flowered handkerchief and staring at the floor, slowly told jurors how she became Stanley Scott Sadler's sex slave and ended up in a threesome with a 14-year-old girl.
In the woman's three days of testimony, which concluded Tuesday, Sadler emerged alternately as a controlling and cruel "master" who called himself Thorn, and a kinder man called Scott who cooked steaks and went out to buy her medicine when she was sick.
What also emerged was a glimpse at the violent and secret world of the online bondage community, where people advertise for rough sex and fly across the country to act out fantasies with strangers.
It all came through the words of the woman, who daily expressed her love to a man she now says repulsed her, and who asked for abuse but was so terrorized by it that she said she contemplated suicide.
Sadler, a 48-year-old Fircrest postal worker, faces no charges concerning the woman, who also has not been charged in connection with the 14-year-old. He is charged with raping, kidnapping and photographing sexually the teen. He says she told him she was 19 and showed him a birth certificate to prove it.
Articulate, pretty and a holder of bachelor's degrees in philosophy and French, the woman told Pierce County Superior Court jurors how she went online looking for someone to fulfill her fantasies of being forcibly restrained, caged, abducted, raped and humiliated.
Sadler answered her ad and she agreed to be his "pet", and said he could blackmail her indefinitely as part of their arrangement.
She said that, when she changed her mind, he refused to let her out of the agreement. Sadler threatened that if she didn't obey him, he would "make her famous" by sending sexual photos to her professors, her mother and her boyfriend, she testified.
The woman – whom The News Tribune is not naming because of the embarrassment to her – told the jury she started frequenting bondage Web sites in late 2003, and had sex with four men before Sadler. She said she met them once or twice and "very easily" broke ties with them.

Pair admit to beating

Monticello – A Liberty couple who had a penchant for sadomasochism admitted yesterday to beating a man so severely that his kidneys shut down and he nearly died.
Kasseopeia Morris and Christopher Gonsalves, both 18, pleaded guilty in Sullivan County Court to first-degree assault, a felony, and weapon possession, a misdemeanor. In return, each will get six years in prison.
According to court papers, Morris befriended the Ohio man in a medieval-themed Internet chat room. He had problems with his parents, so last summer Morris invited him to move in with her and Gonsalves in Liberty.
They lived in a four-bedroom apartment on Edgar Street with Morris' mother, sister and her mother's boyfriend. Gonsalves moved here from New Bedford, Mass., a couple of months before the Ohio man did and worked for a while at Wal-Mart. Morris collects Social Security disability for serious asthma.
The man told police he didn't know about the couple's predilection for bondage-dominant sadomasochistic play. By the time he realized what he had gotten into, he believed he had nowhere else to go.
By Christmas, the beatings had started. Morris told cops she thought the man messed up on purpose so she would punish him. In January, things apparently boiled over.
Morris and Gonsalves told police the man was giving them attitude about doing chores, so they took him into a spare room. They hit him more than 80 times with the belt and at least 10 times with the cane. Gonsalves said he kicked the man repeatedly in the groin.
