APEX – Consent Counts: Decriminalizing BDSM

This is APEX’s virtual Monday Night program that is open to the entire 18+ community.
In June, the American Law Institute (ALI) approved the revised Model Penal Code on Sexual Assault, which decriminalizes BDSM activities in connection with sexual penetration, oral sex or sexual contact. Join us as we provide information on the new consent definitions for sex and for BDSM, as well as how the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom’s (NCSF) Consent Counts project achieved this effort. We’ll also discuss how the stigma of criminalization has impacted our communities, and have lots of time for questions.
